RFO: At approximately 3:00am on May 6th PG&E suffered a malfunction that caused power loss to parts of southern Alameda County. The facility was affected when the Automatic Transfer Switches properly started the backup generator but failed to cutover. Hurricane Electric takes its network and power stability seriously. We are working with the ATS manufacturer to determine the exact cause of the failure.
9:18am (EDT): All Linodes are back in service at this time. Please open a support ticket if you believe you are continuing to experience issues.
9:04am (EDT): We are still working on a small number of hosts, but most Linodes should either be booted or have a boot job in their queue.
8:50am (EDT): Most Linodes have been brought back up. We are now working on some stragglers. We appreciate your patience.
7:53am (EDT): Power appears to have been restored and we are working on bringing Linodes up now.
7:40am (EDT): A utility failure is affecting much of Fremont, CA, damaging some electrical equipment. Hurricane Electric is currently working to restore power.
6:45am (EDT): We are continuing to investigate and will publish an update when there is additional information.
6:12am (EDT): We are investigating an outage in the Fremont facility and will post an update as soon as possible.
