On November 13, 2024, customers started reporting issues with their Linode deployments failing when they were using custom images.
The investigation revealed that the issue was caused by a new feature release that was deployed on November 13, 2024.
We deployed a download delivery change on November 28, 2024, to try to mitigate the impact, but after monitoring our systems, we continued noticing issues. We shared a workaround with the customers, reporting issues while we continued working on a fix.
On December 3, 2024, we deployed a configuration update as the fix and after monitoring our systems for some time, we confirmed that the issue was resolved.
